 A ²¹⁰polonium fueled SNAP-3 Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (RTG) with the vent tube for the helium4 decay product on the right. Made at Mound Laboratory in 1958, the heat source was 96 thermal watts at birth. Po-210 has a half life of 138 days and a thermal output of 140 watts/gram.
